51 Year old female. Mother of two adult children. Have been married 32 years. Work in retail. Love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! This is the key to healing. To praise God in every situation. Not that everything is good but to give thanks and praise to God in the midst of everything. Instead of becoming bitter when wronged, see that God can use the situation as a tool to chip away at our rough edges and to make us into something that can reflect His beauty. His love, His forgiveness. Forgiving does not mean that it makes them any less guilty of their offense but it frees us. God is for us not against us. Yes, bad things happen to good people and yes God promises to be with us. With our children we cannot protect them from everything in life we love them more than anything but life happens but one thing we know as parents we will always be there for them. How much more is that true of God. He is there during our deepest pains and sorrows. His desire is for us to turn to Him and allow Him to heal us and conform us more into His image. God does not waste anything in life. I reread the story of a little boy who had alot more in this life of material things than his little friend. So at Christmas he saved his money to buy his friend a much wanted compass. But his friend's mother was a proud woman and he knew his mother would not allow him to give this because they did not have the money to return a gift. Long story short this little boy had one deaf ear and the night he snuck over to his friends house to leave the gift he had to cross a electric fence. On the way back he being in a hurry forgot the fence and got jolted bad and fell down. His mother wondered how could something so bad happen to her little son who was trying to do something so good? The next morning when his little friend came over they were comparing their Christmas gifts, his mother notice as they were doing this that he was not cocking his head to listen. Turns out the shock from the electric fence was somehow responsible for the regaining of his hearing! Yes, God can turn even the worst situation into something good if we but turn it over to HIm!
