Has anyone heard the reports of the controversial VA Drug Study? They enrolled 1,000 vets in a study for anti-smoking drugs. 143 were prescribed Chiantix, which can cause psychotic episodes and lead to suicidal feelings. Yet, the VA didn't intially alert the participating vets of these dangers, which is especially an issue for the vets with PTSD.

When is the VA going to come out of the dark ages and educate themselves with knowledge instead of money. In an obscure way it reminds me of the M-16 A-1's when they first came out. The wiz kids of Washington said they were okay just the way they were, but in reality they used to jam all the time, remember?

My son said hes in a study about PTSD. Ill have to ask him about this thank you.

You're welcome, Rapunzel. Hopefully more information about the study will come to light soon, and that a situation like this won't happen again in the future...

An update: I read today (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hhHeEJ5b4rd0lLt04fa9FaqkODDQD91DE6F01) that the VA is sending out letters to all the vets who use Chantix to warn them of the side effects. VA doctors will continue to prescribe the drug.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
