I just finished typing a huge post. that took me hours to compile. sitting here crying because I accidentally clicked on something and lost the whole thing.. I tried to go back in the browser and it was gone.. for good..

Could you please fix this? Every board I've been on does not refresh pages in cache.. this one does.. I don't know how.. but could you please look into it?

Hi siguy:

I have had this problem too. Now, I type in Word, then copy and paste what I have written on the board, so that it doesn't all get lost.

exactly what i do if i have alot to say, i write it in word or notepad and copy and paste.

Go to the help part of the DS and send tech support a message that is all and see if it is recvoverable, probably not cause it never left your hard drive onto the internet cause that is what the button is for to do the saving link so it is probably lost but you could talk to them and give them some ideas on how to make it more user friendly to each of the users here on DS. Or do what I do I type my posts on my microsoft word and then copy and paste it on to the box. Its easier that way and then you cant lose it reguardless cause you can always do a recovery.

great tip on the notepad guys.. but we shouldn't have to do that.. they can fix it.. these guys know what they're doing, this site has more bells and whistles than any board I've ever seen.. it's something in the php, they can fix it trust me.

btw, did I ever mention I do web design for a living? I'm still learning php though :)

php is the easy part I had a web design company and have a degree in systems analysis also and the php compared to the other stuff I did is a piece of cake!
