If you are replying to a post and it is a long reply you have probably experienced that when you hit submit that you lose what you typed. To fix this you should use the copy/paste function.
After you type everything you want to say then take your mouse to the top of your reply and using the LEFT mouse button you click to the left of the first word. While you continue to hold down the left button you will draw your hand toward the bottom of the reply box, your reply will scroll. When you get to the right of the last word let go of the mouse button. Everything in the box should be highlighted. Place your mouse anywhere in the highlighted area and click the RIGHT button. You will get a dropdown menu. Select Copy.
Now hit the delete button and all your comment will go away. Scary I know. If you don't trust that your mouse copied everything then open your notepad and paste it there. (more on pasting coming up)
After deleting your comment then just hit any # in the row of pages at the bottom of the post. (In an Journal just cancel the one you are in then re-open for a journal entry) The reason for this is to let the DS server know you "did" something. The main reason for losing posts on here is that the server times us out on those long replies.
Now go to the reply box (new entry) and put your mouse at the top and click the RIGHT button, now on the drop down select Paste. Ta Da!!! There is your reply and you KNOW it will post.
Hope everyone understands my Copy/Paste 101.
