Just wondering how much cardio you do and how many times per week? What are you doing? Found any good videos? I really like the Biggest Loser workout videos...

I work out to the Beachbody DVD. I bought it online beachbody.com It has about 6 different programs on it. The first program is 30 minutes and then the other programs can go up to 1 hour. I am still on the 1st program. I do that a couple of times a week and walk my dog 3 miles a couple times a week. I am starting a boxing class next week. That is a 60 minute class.

I joined a gym about 4 months ago (2 mo post op) and I have worked up to 50 to 60 minutes of cardio. I divide my time between an exercise bike, a treadmill, and an eliptical. Then every other day I do weight training, and that program also takes me about an hour. I usually make it to the gym about 4 or 5 times a week. I'm 55 y/o and since I have been doing this I am so much more agile and I've stopped getting out of breath just trudging through the snow. Maggie

I am doing about 30-40 minutes on the treadmill about 3-4 times per week. It is hard for me to get that much in. I feel tired after about 30 minutes. I question if I am doing enough though...I see all these other people doing over a hour 4 times per week. I can't imagine doing that much, but I guess I will build up to that over time. Thanks for the support!!

I recently spoke with the trainer at the gym and he suggest doing at least 30 minutes of cardio at least 4 days a week. Anything less than 30 is not nearly as beneficial., but any amount is better than none. Keep up the good work.

I do 30-40 mins of cardio on the bike or treadmill at least 3 times a week. I also do weight and tone training as well. So what I do is 15 mins of cardio at the beginning of my work out and 15 mins of cardio at the end of my workout. Altogether my total workout time is about an hour. I try to go to the gym on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday or Sunday, schedule permitting.

I walk 1 mile in morning which I tracked the steps and they are 3743 and I just bought a stationary bike and I use on of the preset cycles and it gives a good work out plus I do a video walk off the lbs with a tension band. I try to do this 4-6 times a week alternating things, unless I am working. I work 12 hours nights at a hospital and if I am working the floor you can bet I am doing major cardio with taking care of 10 pts. If I sit at the heart monitors then I walk the basement and run the stairs 2-3 times in the 12 hrs shift. I think everyone is doing a great job on cardio keep up the good work. take care Estelle

I work out 6 days a week. 45 minutes on the treadmill using a weight loss program that measures my heart rate to keep the intensity correct. I do the treadmill every other day. On the other days I spend a little over an hour lifting weights for strength training. I do full body weights all three days. This works well for me.
