Working / Worked
I keep a journal and I write alot of poetry. Writing whe I'm upset keeps me from hurting myself more than I would without writing.

There are some times I really just need to journal to let everything out. Then there will be a few months I wont journal at all. I will always keep some empty ones laying around though. Just in case! When I first started seeing a therapist, he made a journal every day. This made me become more mindful about myself. I learned a lot from myself because I usually tried to avoid difficult things.

Its a daily event.

I write almost every day, just whatever i feel. it works pretty well for a while.

I've heard that writing a diary, recording your feelings and what's working and what isn't in your life, is as good if not better than counselling. It's YOU solving your own problems, and analysing what's going on in your own life. I get a lot out of looking back on my old diaries from years ago, and seeing how my life has changed (or not). Sometimes it can be quite an eyeopener!

works but sometimes im too depressed to pick up a pen

fail therapy is fail
Working / Worked
I tend to feel better after I write. I am a writer, but haven't been able to actually be creative since this started as it made me anxious.
It helps to get things out on paper, that's for sure.
Working / Worked
It's always good to write your feelings on paper. Even though you're not talking to someone, putting pen to paper is very theraputic for the mind, body and spirit.
