Been having Remicade infusions every 56 weeks since July 2007 to treat my Ulcerative Colitis. I am not yet 100 but I finally got off of Prednisone after two years of taking that horrid medicine.

Actually taking for Ankylosing Spondylitis but helps with my Crohns because I am on a higher dose than used for Crohns. Experience fatigue,headaches, easily bruised,sweating

Kept me in remission for 4 years. I had an allergic reation to it 2 years ago and so I cannot take it anymore.
Side effects:
joint pain, headaches after infusions for about a week

began treatment in May 05, doasge has slowly been increased over years but still works wonders every 6 weeks

worked like a miracle the first time and then i stopped i think i wanted to see how ill go without drugs but after taking the break it wasnt as effective.

There needs to be another status category here that says "worked but about killed me" or something like that. I felt great for the first four infusions but was unaware of the antibodies that were forming. I ultimately had to stop the Remicade because of acute hepatitis and, ultimately autoimmune hepatitis as confirmed by liver biopsy.

also helped to heal perianal fistulas, seems to not be working as well lately
