I wasn't allowed to draw on myself but I was allowed to draw and paint pictures. Many times they would be of people with cuts and the cuts would be bleeding. This allowed me to see injuries and blood which I like without engaging in self harm

yes I have tried using black /red marks to write words on my body all in all the no side effects so far.

Haven't used this in a while, but it really helped. I once filled me whole arm with writing and drawings and such :D!! I thought it looked nice. Anyway, it helped with the urges.

I still love this method. Whenever I feel bad I get out a pen (any color) and fill a page of paper or two.

that helps but i need it to hurt some. and sometimes i get angry and i want to cut more.

I do the butterfly thing. if i cut before the butterfly wears off it dies. really silly but it does help

I've done this, it has worked for me, try writing "love" or whatever a word of hope/help would be for you in a place you can see as a reminder.

didnt work at all this is punishment on me i think and sometimes if im honest punishment on others

great for writing words thet u want to carve into your skin. it stays on for a while
