I went through 30 radiation treatments. Compared to chemo, radiation is quite easy to tolerate. I had mild nausea, food tasted "tinnny". I guess it helped. I'm still in remission after radiation and chemo.

my white cells were very low but after 8 weeks finished the treatment in 1999 and still here. I am on go slow but other people seem to have boundless energy, and having an ileostomy doesn't slow them down, at all it seems.

I was very emotional. Driving to tx everyday was difficult and the SE pecked away at me. I also gained most of my weight here. It was a challenge.
