Modafinil is used to help people who have narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea/hyponea, or shift work sleep disorder to stay awake during the day. Modafinil does not cure these conditions and will only work as long as you continue to take it.

I take this med with Adderall. I didn't suffer any bad side effects from this med, and it helps along with the Adderall to keep me awake during the day. However, I can still sleep while I'm on it.
