The methotrexate worked but I didnt know that it was going to be such a long drawn out ordeal. I would have had the surgery had I known it was going to take so long. It was very hard on my mentally physically and still is. Side effects were pretty mild for the most part some abdominal pain.

It seems to have really worked on the arthritis. My son has no pain in his joints after taking it just once. However, he has a lot of muscle pain in one lower calf--next to the bone. It's bad.
