I use focused meditation. Don't like to keep my my open because of unwanted thought and images. I meditate on positive passages from bible or 12 step books. or replacing pain in my body with colors.

This is helping alot. i am finding the balance between the mania and the mellow down side. i am working to find the right swing between up and down so i dont get so high or crash so low.

HARD to do, when really feeling poorly.
the best way to quiet my nerves is to quiet my mind. Calm music and a good soak in the tub tend to help with this treatment. Being stressed makes it hard to sleep so resting my body for at least twenty minutes helps keep my nerves from getting too raw.

Off and on. You know the key thing about meditation is doing it. And I cannot control my lack of discipline and if I am really wacko(a lot) I can barely sit 2 minutes. More on this in chatting I am sure. BUT SOME OF MY BEST MOMENTS OF PEACE HAVE BEEN IN MEDITATION using buddhist 'type' thinking/introspection, etc.

I try to meditate almost every day and I find it very relaxing for the most part. I helps me to see all my patterns better and be able to manage them better as well
