It was hard at first coping with this. The doctors started me on Tegretol but it wasn't working well. I had times when I'd have mini seizures. Like I'd fade in and out or drop thngs in my hand or collapse. So my doctor switched me to Keppra, and it's made a BIG improvement. I no longer have seizures or mini seizures anymore! I can go swimming again, and just keep on being me with out constant worry!

Second go-round on this. Works pretty well, but my white blood cell count dropped very badly and the drug was blamed.Doctors now think it may be one of my other drugs causing the problem.Final verdict is'nt in

Working / Worked
The transition to Keppra was scary, but I'm glad I had my hubby by my side. I went through anxiety, unusual and scary thoughts about death. I felt like I was on the brink of deppression until my neurologist suggested that we go out more, so that we weren't so focused on the change to Keppra. It took me about 6 months to get used to the Keppra. My seizures are completely controlled, just as they were with Depakote, only now, my liver is returning back to normal. My liver enzymes are at about 42.
Working / Worked
since combination of higher doses of both keppra and lamictal my seizures have been controlled. Recently have had increase of migrains.

It worked 100% for a while and then just most of the time. No side effect

Working / Worked
