It has taken me 3 months to give myself shots without hesitation. It would take 30 minutes for me to get guts enough to stick that needle in myself!

I feel as though I have had the flu the entire time I've been injecting the interferon. Giving myself injections isn't a big deal...it's the side effects that get me.

Was on a trial course about 15 years ago, but not tailored specifically for me. Only minimal improvement in liver function. Will probably be retrying interferon soon.

Took it for 5 months in combination with ribavirin. Very rough going witht he side effects - I think I had them all. Viral load went from 1.9 million to 600, but still discontinued as didn't get to zero.

It seemed to work, but the side affects were bad. I took my shot on Friday evenings and was in bed feeling fluish and sick with no appetie until Sunday night. My daughter had to force me to eat.
