Working at home to teach how to do simple tasks like make a sandwich, hang up clothes, grocery shop. Seems to enjoy independence, however he's only 5 time will tell.

For 10 years I worked as a high school teacher focusing on living skills and vocational preparation. It led to many successful job acquisitions.

This has been great, she loves to help and help herself. I focus on this all the time.
Take one day at a time and he needs this more than I do.
The ABA team addresses these skills with us and our son. His self help skills a year ago tested at the 1% range for his age. Now he is in the average range!
