Ifosfamide belongs to the group of medicines called alkylating agents. It is used to treat cancer of the testicles as well as some other kinds of cancer. Another medicine, called mesna, is usually given along with ifosfamide to prevent bladder problems that can be caused by ifosfamide.

Micah recieves the VAC every three weeks so it is difficult to isolate which drug is causing him the most problems. Micah has lost a significate amount of weight and is not interested in eating. He is on a feeding tube. However, there is now no visable sign of cancer. Everything makes him very tired as well.

Again, it appears as if this treatment is working. Although, what worries me is this chemo caused leukemia in another case similar to mine.
