Hysteroscopy is the inspection of the uterine cavity by endoscopy. It allows for the diagnosis of intrauterine pathology and serves as a method for surgical intervention (operative hysteroscopy). more at Wikipedia

I had one and it showed that my lining was in good shape. It caused a few mild cramps but was not too uncomfortable.

Worked great - no more pain since. Didn't help the depression though; even though I was not planning any more kids, the realization that you CAN'T have any more is sometimes hard to think about.
