I think the school sending him to the disciplinary school in the 1st grade was a successful early intervention effort.
We definitely saw improvements with him. The early intervention programs are still in progress.

Luckily my 5 year old was diagnosed before he started school so we were better prepared to get him the help he needs now and the help he will need for when he starts Kindergarten this year....fingers crossed.

worked for a while but now it seems as if he isn't making much progress

I am working on quitting smokeing cigs and marijuana.
We started him very early on with a tight schedule. This is very important. It brings structure which is HIGHLY needed for a child that can not communicate his fears and insecurities. The Dr. said this will help as he starts school which may be rough in the beginning because it wont be his normal routine, but soon enough it will be and since he strives on order and is used to it he should do well. We will see if this works in 2 weeks when he starts school.
Working / Worked
It helped. We got help with sensory issues.
