I got obsessed with this and barely ate!

OBSESSED BY MY WEIGHT,EVEN THOUGH NOW UNDERWEIGHT
It's the only way I can reliably lose weight, but it's HARD and not very sustainable for weight maintenance
I have had sucess with a small pocket-sized food diary and have discovered some interesting stuff about my food allergies, migraine triggers, eating downfalls and many spontaneous eating triggers that kept me off track.
Lost eight pounds, gained back 3.
I'm not for keeping diaries.

restricting is helpful if my metabolism is used to more than what im restricting too, calorie-wise.
was very affective

worked some days until my binges started
Can't seem to stick with it, but it works.
currently eating 600-700 calories

Does work but I find the rigidity of it very difficult

It keeps me in tune with how much I actually eat... all the calories add up!

It's hard at first but then after to learn how many calories are in which foods you eat you will discover you can still eat the things you really enjoy but in MODERATION and A LOT LESS frequently. I still have sugar & milk in my coffee I just set aside 150 calories for that and I drink only water and the occasional diet lemonade. I am have completely cut out all soda INCLUDING DIET soda. It's bad for you-ie phosphoric acid and the carbonation causes water retention.
