Varenicline (Chantix®, Pfizer, usually as varenicline tartrate) is a prescription medication used to treat smoking addiction. Worked to get me off the cigs. Side effects were a bit more then my body could take so I went off this 4 weeks in. I do feel good though :)

I have come to the realization that it is not merely an addiction to the nicotine and it is much more that just a habit. It is a part of who I am. I had been smoking for over 60 years, so it has become part of who I am. What I must do, which is sooooooo difficult is: Change my THINKING!!!!!!! This is what I am working at now........I am becoming a NON-SMOKER

I have taken it in the past but every time I take it ans get used to it i find out I am expecting, I have tried it twice but had to stop immediately, but it seemed to help a great deal!

Wow yea what a difference this stuff makes! It gave me freaky dreams at first and nausea. Really helps me and I signed up with their online support group. So everyday I get an e~mail and have to check in with them and they give me a daily activity to do.

helped me to cut down, but cannot afford them now. So I have to try the cold turkey. I pray God will help give me the strength and courage to carry this out all the way.
