Getting there with this

Found it caused massive weight gain and super drug sensitive to it even in small doses...itching too

Have been on Carbimazole since December 2007. started off on 20mg daily, then 15 mg, then 10 mg, then 5 mg, now nothing, as my T4, T3 and TSH levels are all normal as of August 2008. I had about 4 months of worrying hair loss but that slowed down and then stopped when my hormone levels normalised. Looks like pregnancy triggered my Graves', and it will probably crop up again with future pregnancies.

i used it 4 a while however i stopped and my condition became better

It has help me a lot sometimes i could not even move because of the pain

Was on six tablets a day, now on one

I have been on carbimazole for almost 8 years

it is starting to work slowly

Symptons improving but not there yet

My treatment (blocking treatment) worked but isn't long term. I should have only been on meds for 1yr and ended up being on it for 2yrs - my consultant is now doing what I asked him to do 6 months ago. I had no side effects apart from my weight yo yoing up and down, putting on 3 kilos and then losing it so always having to buy/wear smaller larger clothing.

jus strtd. so fr so good..but im really nervous. i dont even take tylenol when i have a headache.

i had been experiencing weight loss even though i was eating normal, i kept getting a strange feeling in my head, light headedness, dizziness, blurry vision.

Felt dreadful at the time but not sure if it was Graves or Carbimazole. Took a long time for bloods to normalise and then still didnt feel well for a while.

I took this from diagnosis for 5 yrs
