(also known as Breastfeeding)
Breastfeeding is the process of a woman feeding an infant or young child with milk from her breasts, usually directly from the nipples. Babies have a sucking urge that enables them to take in the milk, provided there is a good 'latch' (that is, correct orientation between the woman and the baby), a normal frenulum, and... more at Wikipedia

Breast Feeding Reviews

he had issues at first because of high bilirubin, but has been doing great with supplemental bottles ever since.
I am still breast feeding and find it to be a wonderful experience. My son eats every 3 hours during the day and once in the middle of the night.
Had a hard time at first, but the most wonderful time I spend with my son.
Breastfed for 8.5 months - milk supply started getting low and I decided I wanted to start drinking coffee again!
I believe this is the best thing I could ever have done for my baby. I was a wonderful experience, except the first few days.

OMG- If I could have done this forever, I would have! Pounds MELTED off. But alas, couldn't produce enough to breastfeed for long.
Having hard time stress, and new brith control, I also have a thyriod problem.
It was a struggle at first, but I am SOOO glad I stuck with it!

i didn't lose anyway while breastfeeding but mine you i did fall pregnant after 4 months of having Ieshia
Worked with my 2nd son for 3 weeks. Then after breast milk had to be put on Similac Alimentum because of a lactose sensitivity. He could also use Enfamil Nutramigen which both cost 27 dollars a can!!!, My older son was 7 weeks premature and had trouble sucking and latching on. He had to be on soy.
It took about 2 1/2 -3 months to get the hang of breastfeeding!
I've breastfeed both my girls and I've loved it. My oldest did great with it and my youngest loves it a little too much actually. She wants to nurse round the clock. The only issue I'm having is being able to produce enough milk to pump for when we go out and keeping my energy up. For some reason I feel really drained this time around.
Had almost three wonderful months of this before starting on antidepressants. Best bonding experience ever.
Working / Worked
It worked when my children were babies, but they are older now. So I am not breast feeding at this time. Nor do I plan on having any more children.
At first Kiki wouldn't attach without a nipple shield. But at about three months old, she started breastfeeding without the nipple shield. It's much less messy without the shield, and much easier! Kiki doesn't like breastfeeding in public when there are any interesting things around for her to pay attention to. She likes to lay down beside me in our bed and feed that way. I love the little noises she makes when she first latches on. I love watching her feed. She's so peaceful and cute!!!
