It helps when I go but I have a hard time getting myself to go especially since I can no longer make it to my home meeting.
Working / Worked
My sister is a very active user and currently in jail for DUI's and her behaviors affect the family. I am now in the position where it is not me and my disease tearing apart the family it is the disease itself tearing us apart. I am learning to lovingly detach.
I was in 7th grade. Havent been to a meeting since. Helped me to learn more about the disease and its effects on the person.
Working / Worked

Haven't gone in a couple years.
This is the best place for support and love. I've learned a great deal from other mothers of alcoholics.

I got a lot out of going to meetings, but I grew complacent and stopped going...and it doesn't work so well when you don't work it!
