My dad stopped drinking on May 25, 1961. He stayed sober til the day he died in 1990. He remained active in AA til the end. I have attended thousands of AA meetings in my lifetime.

I try to get to my meeting every week. It's very helpful but I need to get a sponsor and I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. Side effects all good !:)
I've been a member of Al-Anon for 8 years. In face my last chip I received was my eight year birthday chip. I can't really remember why I just stopped attending my meetings but I can tell you this, when I stopped going to my meetings, my serenity stopped in me as well as everything else I had found there. That should tell me exactly what I need to do right? Then why is it so hard to start back?

I'm new to Al-Anon, just 6 months, but it's working really well. I have a great sponsor and home group.

Not only SAVED my life but GAVE me a life too!
Just celebrated 2 years; very active in service in my district. Attend all the workshops, conventions and retreats that I can. Al-Anon works for me, ver well, when I work it.
I have been to a lot of meetings so far over the last two months. SOmetimes they work and sometimes they do not. I feel that I am trying to deal with multiple problems and when I am really upset about the affair none of the ALANON stuff helps me at all, in fact it makes me even more angry.
Working / Worked
it works if you work it
