Doxorubicin or adriamycin or hydroxyldaunorubicin is a DNA-interacting drug widely used in chemotherapy. It is an anthracycline and structurely closely related to daunomycin, and also intercalates DNA. It is commonly used in the treatment of uterine cancer and ovarian cancer, as well as some other cancers. more at Wikipedia

I handled "big red" very well...however on the 3rd day after having my treatments, I would feel very tired I just felt like not doing anything...so that's just what I did! nothing. the next day I would feel like my old self. So what I did was the schedule my chemo treatments on Thursdays after work, then I would feel bad on Sundays and by Monday morning I was my old self and went to work. I had 6 reatments and 30 rounds of radiation and that was 10 years ago

Did well with this did not get sick at all. I had joint pain and mussle pain do to the nuelasta shots. Other than that the pre drugs did their job

So far, I am cancer free.I experienced horrible side effects such as vomiting,nausea,mouth ulcers,diarrea and of course hair loss.I have permanent side effects as well.This drug combined with Herceptin damaged my heart and my teeth are crumbling.
