We were matched, met the birth mom, met the baby. Went to pick the baby up officially and the birth mom backed out at the 11th hour.
The second time, we were told the baby was definitely not staying with the birth parents. The birth parents did not want her, had no help, etc. At the last minute, the day they were discharged from the hospital, the maternal grandmother came to the rescue- not mine, obviously.
