Acetazolamide, sold under the trade name Diamox, is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that is used to treat glaucoma, epileptic seizures, benign intracranial hypertension, altitude sickness, cystinuria, and dural ectasia. I take this twice a day from the 24th to the 30th of every month. I only take it then because that is my most likely time to have a seizure.It makes you VERY tired.

it is not working at all, in fact it is causing kidney stones, so now they want to try me on something else!

Had a spinal tap and spinal fluid pressure was to high so the Diamox is supposed to aleviate the headaches and lower the pressure around my brain from the spinal fluid.
Not Working
It didn't work in the beginning to get my pressures down. It ultimately led to me having the Lumbar shunt placed last February.
