it has been 14 years since i was doing 12 step program. considering going back to try it again.

sober today !

Through Step 3, but told 'not to proceed' without a sponsor.

I used to go to Al-Anon when my husband was drinking. He hasn't had a drink in over a year but I am going back this week because I am getting sucked in to his emotional state again. Trying to fix everything for him.

I started doing the Al-Anon thing mid June and it's helped already.

It served it's purpose at the time and I was sober for awhile.

There is no better program. Going thru the 12 Step allows you to see yourself and make the changes God wants in your life.

AA has taught me a way to live life on life's terms. Even with present day difficulties my life is far better than any day with alcohol.

Currently working the steps with a sponsor.

working the steps is not for the faint of heart, but establishing a relatioship with God has been the best insurance ive ever gotten that things will get better ,facing the past toe to toe with open,clear eyes is only going to make me a more honestand for me gentler person sometimes i do well at step work other times i slack, for a long time i tried it my way[alot of unnecesary pain] but the true changes in me started to come when i let go and did what i was told and kept hp real close...
