I miss the noise

It's Tuesday morning, and I hear gentle rumble of thunder outside. We have our air conditioning on, but I opened the back door to the deck so my kitties could lounge ... they're so rotten ... they sit and stare at the back door on mornings like this, wanting me to go outside and "sit" with them. I normally do. Drink my chai tea and eat my oatmeal on the deck, while listening to the birds sing. But it's a little wet this morning, so I just cracked the door so they could go out and "smell & snoop" and have the freedom to come back in when they choose.
I love summer rain. It's not officially summer here until June 20 or so, but the weather has been hot and clammy enough to dub it 'Summer'. And the house it still and quiet. Teenager still in bed. Hubby off to work. And I'm enjoying the peace and quiet to have a reflective morning.
God has been so good to me lately. Well, he's good to me all the time, but lately He seems to be sitting right here with me, helping me be still, and I'm enjoying his company!

God is with you always. That is such an awesome thought and truth. We can enjoy him in the day to day wonders such as kitties on the deck.
It is such a blessing to have the time of silence and reflection in the morning before the rest of the world wakes up.
