Hoping all my DS friends have a marvelous Thanksgiving! I am going to my mothers and am going to bring a spiral ham, pumpkin pie and a greenbean casserole. The only problem is that she lives on a small lake and the kitchen and dining table are down stairs. No problem going down but uhg going up(8 steps). Mom is going to Cancun over Christmas so will not do it twice. I wish that we all feel good enough to enjoy the food and family.........Love you, Nancy

Thanks! The doc gave me Provigil which worked wonders for about a month...I only took 1/2 a pill...I will take a whole tomorrow cuz' I sure wanna be good for Thanksgiving. I was told to take one when I wake up and one at noon...so I may just take 1/2 at each of those times. ANYWAY...hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Hi Maggie, Flying by to send you these extra special hugs....I wiped out your comments on my journal by mistake, sorry about that. I know the Holiday time is so different when your family is gone...We make the best of it with friends. But also remember the memories of past Xmas's with family. We sometimes get out the photo's. Do enjoy your Thanksgiving and the Grandkids. Teaching them what Thanksgiving is all about is a real important thing to do. You take care, stay positive! Love and Hugs Always

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI was diagnosed in 2003 with relapsing/remitting MS. I was started on copaxone and so far I have had no relapses. My initial treatment was with solumedrol and I had a reaction to the steroid. However, it did stop the active symptoms.
Treatments
- Copaxone Working / Worked
- After my initial fear of giving myself a shot every day I got into a routine and it seems to be working. I did have a problem with getting depressions in my leg and arm muscles but lowering the depth of the shot its been okay.
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- Already described it.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI was diagnosed with depression in 1989 and have struggled with it ever since. I got on disability because it interfered with my ability to work. Not being able to get up and go into work tends to get you fired.
Treatments
- Celexa Working / Worked
- I think its starting to get me out of my lastest hole.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
- It helps but I've also joined Al-anon to help with the early childhood issues of being raised in an alcoholic family.
