Close Hearing Loss & Deafness
Type: Sensorineural (Profound)I had a sudden hearing loss at the age of 44. Out of the blue I caught some kind of virus and lost my hearing as a result. I had a cochlear implant and it has taken me from isolation to communication. I am still adjusting but each day gets better
Treatments
- Cochlear Implant Working / Worked
- It certainly is much better then not hearing at all. I am thankful for noise, each sound I hear I have to learn to recognize but eventually I know what it is. I still lip read because its just easier that way.
