      I have was diagnosed with BiPolar11 four years ago. Hope to find some answers and support others on Daily Strength.

      Have had problems with anxiety for almost 40 years, or possibly since I was born. Is it nature or nurture, or both which make you so anxious?

      Treatments

      Acupuncture Somewhat Helpful
      This was helpful, but has to be continued. Have found it very expensive to have this on a regular basis.
      Ativan Somewhat Helpful
      Worked at the time.
      Breathing Exercises Somewhat Helpful
      Good if you remember to do them. Am usually too anxious to do them.
      Breathwork Somewhat Helpful
      Hypnotherapy Not Working
      Tried it with 3 different hynotherapists. Went under, but had no affect on my anxiety.
      Inderal Somewhat Helpful
      Helped when I was having bad palpitations. Require something more stronger now.
      Meditation Somewhat Helpful
      Love it, and it helps. Never take time to do it, until I am too anxious.
      Paxil Not Working
      Took this EVIL tablet for over 5 years. Changed me into a wreck and completely controlled me. Not for me!!
      Positive Thinking Somewhat Helpful
      This is fantastic if you can do it. I can mange it at times, but am full of negative thoughts, which are hard to change, but I still try ever day.
      Reflexology Somewhat Helpful
      It is good but again has to be done on a regular basis proving expensive.
    • Open Panic Attacks

      I have been experiencing Panic Attacks for 30 years, but more so in the past 14 years, where they have become really disabling.
