Born and raised in VA (I miss the solitude of the Blue Ridge Mountains), I now live in TX with my husband, where I work fulltime as a massage therapist in a lovely dayspa. I've always known I was different, but my family will always be in denial. Now I have a name for what I deal with: Asperger's Syndrome.

I've always been different. Teachers would express concern to my parents that I didnt join in on group activities and I was always so busy lining up my pencils and erasers on my desk. Later on, I became easy prey for cruel jokes because I wasnt "aware" of peoples motives. Even now, I'm asked by those bold enough if I've been sexually abused because of my lack of communication and social skills. I really try, though, and I can pass as normal to those that are around me for only a short time.
Had a bad reaction to polio vaccine. Started to exhibit autistic tendencies before being diagnosed with Aspergers. also began noticing left side weakness and chronic flulike symptoms, chronic pain on rt side head, neck and shoulder.
niece has moebius syndrome and I have been trying to research this problem. I have a theory as to its cause but would like input from others with moebius.
I have a good friend with CP and just want to learn more about it.
