This is a picture of my friend Maria's (Love4You) and her family's sunflower. :) It's very special day. Maria's daughter Denise, turned 22 years old today. :) Happy birthday Denise! :) We hope you're enjoying a wonderful birthday! :) my friend Maria sent me solar powered sunflowers for my birthday, and i put them in my favorite gardening area, side by side. :) :) in the middle of the solar powered sunflowers, there is a sunflower growing. :) i thought it was so neat, how the sunflower is growing right between the 2 solar powered sunflowers. :) Just like how Maria sends her love, care, and support, that surrounds me every day, and comforts, and uplifts me, and keeps me in good spirits, this sunflower, is surrounded by the love, care, and support, of the 2 solar powered sunflowers. :) my family and i, wish Maria's daughter Denise, a happy birthday! :)
This is a picture of some of our granny smith apples that are growing on our tree. :) We have about 25 to 40 apples growing on this apple tree. :) We are going to pick these apples in October, and we'll make homemade apple pies, and candy and caramel apples! :) It'll be so much fun, and all the fun has already began, getting to see the apples grow, and then, getting to have an apple picking adventure, and then baking, and making candy and caramel apples. :) gardening is very rewarding, in so many wonderful ways. :) July 7th, 2008. :)
And finally, the people whose lives have been touched, or changed or greatly improved upon have an opportunity to write comments to Chris, and we can share with one another, the impact that Chris has had on us, those who are privileged enough to know him. I’m often asked if there are angels here on earth. Often times I will talk about folks who possess some angelic qualities. Folks who quickly enter and just as quickly exit to serve some need for us. Today I’m happy to say beyond a shadow of doubt, that there are indeed angels on earth. My friend Chris in Connecticut is one of them.

Love your blossoming sunflower! I also planted some that bloom in a similar color... I do have one the birds planted in my one flower pot that will bloom soon!
I had a very buzy day with lots of weeding in the morning in the garden... I tended to 5 rows (100' long) which were desperate for attention... All the plants are very happy that they can now easily see the SUN! It's alot to keep up to but I'm trying not to get discouraged...
I picked a handful of blueberries--enough for my cereal... I have tons of green ones waiting to ripen!
The chickies have been so hot today as it was near 90, not to mention their Mum... Another long puppy day... Hope you all have a wonderful evening followed by a great morning! xoxoxo Cj

Hi Chris! aw, the cookies, and the flowers, and fruits on the trees, what a wonderful day! It all sounds so good, and peaceful, and happy. Dedicated to your mom! so beautiful! That's wonderful :) You are so thoughtful, to sing happy birthday! It is raining here right now, but no thunder or lightning, so it is a nice, calm, nourishing rain. I did water everything today! Hahaha it is getting extra. Also I washed the car! hahaha that is why it is raining! The flowers are awesome! I've got some interesting lillies blooming. They are are the type that are a dark wine color with yellow in the middle. Not sure what you call them but they are pretty. Also some little yellow flowers are blooming out of the bushes by the pond.
I have to get out there and cut back the roses. They are all drooping now and dying. There seems to be new blooms again on one of them. Didn't know they could bloom more than once but looks like it is trying to...

My grandfather loved sunflowers and we have photos of him in the 1960's reaching up to these huge flowers. Reading today's journal reminded me of that and I just wanted to say thank you and God bless you, Chris!!
If our daily lives could include just a tenth of the kind of life Chris lives, can you imagine what our lives and neighborhoods and families would be like?

Chris is not on my friend's list but I have gone to his journal because he is on some of my friend's friend list. Even though, I couldn't read his journals, I would read his hugs and what he wrote under his newest pictures. It is so obvious here is a young man with such a deep appreciation of life itself. Thank you for sharing about Chris and his life. I always say to find someone to bless within that realm of influence that we have. Chris's attitude and good nature has reached out and touched all who know him. Thanks again for sharing. Think I will see if he can add on another friend. Grace to you.

Bryan, i first want to begin, by saying how very thankful i am, that you and Lisa, are my friends. :) friendship is very special to me, and i want to thank you, and Lisa, for your wonderful friendships, and for all that you both, do for me. :)
This touches my heart, in so many wonderful ways. :) i am honored, that you would mention you, during your sermon, and that you devoted your sunday sermon, July 13th, 2008 to me. :) You are so very kind, and i thank you, so very much, for everything. :) this is very very heart touching. :) You all, have made, such a huge positive impact on my life. :) You all give me strength, and hope, and keep me in good spirits, every day. :) my friend Evelyn asked me once, if i am always in a good mood, and i mentioned to her, that i usually am! :) i do get upset, at times, especially when my therapy is rough, but we all can learn from our experiences, and use those experiences, to help us, during our future experiences. :) i mentioned to my friend Evelyn, how i begin my day with a smile, each time i sign onto DS. :) i recieve such wonderful comments, hugs, messages, every day. :) to be surrounded by such wonderful love, care, and support, from my family, and friends, it is the most wonderful blessing. :)
Since i've become a member of DS, i've been able to learn to appreciate, the little things in life, whether it's listening to birds singing, or seeing a tiny little ant, crawling on the ground, during summer time, and knowing, that just like us all, that ant too, belongs here, the earth, is our home, and we all share this earth, and can enjoy fully, all of the wonderful things, that earth, and life, has to offer. :) it is truly amazing, the human spirit, and how we all can band together, coming together, to help eachother, and getting to share in all the wonderful moments, that make us smile, and those times, when we experience heartbreak, or rough times, the tears that flow, soon go away, and smiles return. our family, friends, and things we enjoy in life, for example, for me, gardening, can always bring those smiles back. :) i once was afraid to be seen, my shyness, so severe, my social anxiety, it made me feel trapped, and made me feel like, i couldn't escape. i've learned, that there is an escape, there is hope, and as long as you have hope, you have a chance. :) my family, my friends, you all are my hope, and i always write in my journal, -never lose hope. with each day, new hope arrives, new great moments that make us smile, and new great memories can be made, to always cherish, and treasure. :) we all have hope, and within that hope, there is a whole world of wonderful things we all can enjoy. :)
i believe, we all are here for a reason. :) We all can make impacts on the lives of others. just making someone smile, can turn their whole day around, in a very positive way. i know that to be true, as you all, have made me smile many times, every day, and have turned many of my days, into positive days, and just knowing, all of the wonderful love, care, and support, that is surrounding me, it gives me a bounce in my step, each time i get out of bed each morning. :) each day is a gift, and a treasure, and we all, can enjoy each day to the fullest. :)
i had an incredible journey in 2007. :) i wrote about it, in my December 31st, 2007 journal. i wrote the journal, for about 6 hours, over the course of 3 days, and through my heart, spirit, and soul, i was able to relive, each and every moment, the good, the challenges, the amazing, the heartbreaking, to the triumps, the rough times, and most importantly, when i was done writing the journal, i knew, that the amazing ride i had in 2007, wasn't gone end, it would continue, and it has, and as we are now 7 months into this wonderful 2008 year, i smile, knowing that this is still, only the beginning. :)
i love sharing my days with everyone. :) i love sharing my love of gardening with everyone. :) my family, my friends, you all warm my heart, like a beam of sunshine shining upon a smiling blossomed sunflower, on a sweet blue sky, and sunny summer day. :) that warmth, is my hope, and i keep that hope, in my heart, where it grows, and flourishes, every day. i'm so very blessed. :)
