I'm finally home after a long and very busy week-end. I arrived at my hotel late Friday afternoon. My older sister and niece stayed in the same hotel. I really enjoyed the pool every change I had to go swimming.

Saturday morning we met at Mom's home to start the hard job of going through all of her things.

My mother never through any artificial flowers away. I think she had about 30 + years of flowers. wrapping paper. She could open a video & book store.

Never a cross word spoken among all 6 of us children. We laughed and cried, hugged and drank alot of water the house was very HOT. We also told alot of stories of differnet things that happened during each of our lives.

We each wrote down 4 things that we really wanted of the big items. I have the bedroom set that was mine when I was a little girl, mom's wedding rings, Hope chest, sewing machine, small book case mad of real wood. Now the problem is where I'm going to put every thing. My home is very small. I will store it if I have to.

I also brought home many treasures that I made for my mother . I forgot back in 1990 I painted ceramic plate for Mother's Day. My sweet Mother saved every gift card that was sent to her.

Sunday was more of the same we drew names for things and even rolled a dice, I even brought home some lace dolies my grandmother had made.

I really enjoyed being with my sisters, Sunday night when we returned to the hotel I got a knock on my door at 11 pm . It was my siters and niece with swim suits on lets visit in the pool and hot tub. I got to bed at 1 am Monday morning.

Every one was very happy with what they recieved from my wonderful parents. I will always cherish the time I spent with my family. I have the pillow cases that I made for my mother on my pillows so she can be close to me. I also have a new tied quilt on our bed. There was to many memories to count. I will be sending my grandchildren in California beautiful porcelain dolls from there Great-Grandmother. My sons family recieved a Christmas ornament, a afghan, videos, and many books. My daughter recieved one of her grandmother's bibles candy dish, books, video's &  toys for the boys.

I arrived home Monday about 5 pm very tired and emotionally drained. I know that my parents sweet spirit was close by watching us go through this hard time. They probably laughed right along with us. We are putting all the pictures on a CD for the computer so her and daddies memory will contiue to live on for generations to come.

Today I spent cleaning up and getting my home back in order. I went to group this afternoon. I just want to thank my special husband for allowing me the time to spend with my family. Driving me and getting me that special massage before I went.

Life is to short enjoy the time we have with our family. This week-end has and will always be in my heart. My younger brother is buying my parents home.
