What a strange few weeks I have lived through. April 27, we went to look at a rental we thought was going to be our home. We gave the people a check for $1350 for a deposit and 2 weeks rent. We realized after a few days there were many red flags. Taxes on the house haven't been paid, water bill also wasn't paid, all we signed was a cover letter. The house wasn't clean for us to move in, mold in the bathroom, they didn't keep there word. It was back on the website before we called and told them we weren't going to rent the house.
Tuesday when we met we them the father kept saying he had to donate his stuff. I told them it wasn't my problem. We also found a pay stub on the floor and called and found out the father quite his job on May 2 after we gave them the money.
We are just heart sick that people can lie and cheat others. They said they would give us back $400. Wrong mistake we are going to take them to court for all the money we have laid out. We also reported it to the police so if any one else gets scammed they will get caught I hope. All I can say at this time is due your home work before you give any one any money.
I have lost all trust and I will be very careful if I ever try and move again. At least I have a roof over my head it my be small. I have been trying to get rid of alot of things I don't use. Those people don't know what I know now about them and they are dealing with the worng people. I will go into court asking for all of my money back plus mental damage I have gone through. This ordeal has been very hard on us.
Our home is almost put back together. Everyone is happy that we are still here. People will scamm you right under your nose. Please be Careful!!!!!! I'm trying to get back on track and start looking for my bsisters. It is a joy to talk to my bbrothers. I hope to get to see them some day. Well take care of yourself. I'm back going to my groups as if nothing happened.

It is such a sad society we have come to live in when people are so willing to cheat others for their own greed. I sometimes wonder if Satan has come to dwell so strongly within the lives of some that there is no sense of guilt or regret. I am sorry you ended up going trough this turmoil but also very thankful that you still had the home you were oving from to stay in. God did provide that for you and in His own way He held you close and kept you safe from danger and further theft.
When you face them in court it will be hard to forgive what they have done but God does ak that of us as Christians. Even in forgiveness there can be restituton made for God is also a just God. Control your anger and pray for those who have hurt you. You may be the ony ones to show them God's love. Almost impossible to ask of you? Yes, but nothingis impossible with God and He will provide a way and has.
