I am unemployed and on disability. Supporter is my Savior Jesus Christ, then my Mom who went to be with the Lord 09/18/2000. I believe in God & His healing power. My passion is to live for God, to do His will.

Enjoy reading the Bible, teach Sunday School, attend church. I do some Scrapbooking, (this is neat). I like to read other books as well

Close Lupus
Diagnosed w/SLE(Lupus)in 1985. My family has supported me, especially my Mom. I believe in God & His Son Jesus Christ. God is my source of strength. 1989 I received my transplanted kidney. Dec. 2006 I lost my kidney & now on diaylsis. Again God is my source of strength. I believe that He will heal me & I will be off diaylsis. Also I believe He will heal and take away Lupus.
Treatments
- Azathioprine Somewhat Helpful
- I am assuming it worked. I did not like side effects. Not on it now because transplant failed.
- Cyclosporine Working / Worked
- I am assuming it worked. I did not like side effects. Not on it now because transplant failed.
- Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
- Do not like this drug! Has many, many side effects. I believe this is what helped lupus to damage my kidney.
Close Dialysis
Received transplant 1985. Lost Kidney Dec.2006. Thankful for the many years I had the transplant. Now on dialysis.
Treatments
- Dialysis Working / Worked
- Was on diaylsis for a month in 1985, then received a transplant. That lasted 17 years. As of Dec. 2006 back on diaylsis.
- Kidney Transplant Working / Worked
- Received kidney transplant 1989. Took a while to recoup. Had to take a lot of meds, which I did not like. Had transplant for 17 years, which is a long time. I am now on diaylsis.
Open Arthritis
Diagnosed with SLE Lupus. Lost kidney 1985,started dialysis, received transplant a month later, Dec. 2006 lost transplant and started back on dialysis. With lupus I also have arthritis to deal with. I take glucosimine/chrondrotin for cartlidge and ginger for inflammation. My next goal is to get on an exercise program.
