Wow, this is the time of year to be gentle with ourselves and not push too hard or be too critical of ourselves. A friend reminded me yesterday after I said something silly, like "I'll be fine in a few minutes when I get over this" (I had been running around the luncheon at work and giving out envelopes, taking pictures.) Afterward, I could barely walk without my feet trying to drag. She reminded me... "uh, not like it's just in your head - you have a physical problem going on!"
I do think the mind is a very powerful thing though. Now, just engaging it so that I can think about more shortcuts and smarter ways to do things - that would be awesome.
I'd like to pray that all my friends on this site are feeling good and doing okay at this time of year. It seems to be the culmination of our entire lives on fast forward up til the present moment each holiday season. Then an abrupt stop in the middle of a twilight zone at times when we have to look around and see where the heck we landed and think about the mistakes we've made and how to go forward from here. Then I find something like this that pretty much tells what it's all about deep down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTYKBOv_0MM&feature=related
