okay y'all it is a Reece story time!!! wanted to share this one with y'all! lol i think i told it to Barb all ready or Pam! please forgive the repeat!
it is a few months after Reece's dad and i are divorced. he is about 11 years old at the time. his mi-mi white took Reece to meet dad and his new girlfriend for lunch. Reece comes back from the afternoon lunch and time with his grandma. i asked how is day was and did he have fun. i get the "it was okay, mom" and what all he and his mi-mi did. so he begins on telling me about the girlfriend that became his stepmom. "mom she is a lot like you. she wewars the same kind of perfume, clothes and even shoes." i smile and say that is nice. Reece goes off to his room then comes back and asks me, "did you know `she's saved?" i responded with that is great Reece, that means she is a good christian woman and i know she will be good to you. [really y'all what am i suppose to say against that, i was grateful to hear that] so then being the not-so-bright mom at the time i ask Reece, "do you know what church she goes to or where she was baptized?" Reece looks at me all straight faced and pure and innocent and says "no mom, i don't know where she goes to church but i do know where she was baptized." again you must realize i am walking into this one big time .......really Reece, where was she baptized, i ask. oh that beautifuk adorable innocent face .... Reece replies "she was baptized at Sea World."
now, as all of you know how difficult this is .... i have to get onto Reece for saying this without busting a gut and letting loose with laughter. needless to say, i did laugh when he wasn't around!!! that boy that boy!
another thing i wanted to mention, i know i said this to Pam and i do hope she understood what i was meaning. yes, i lost Reece and i feel like i have lost so many other children ... your children. but at the same time, i have gained children that you have. it is funny how i feel like your families have become mine. granted, i don't know you all personally. yet thru your journals and what you have written i have more boys and daughters than i ever thought i could have .... those here with us and those that are no longer with us. thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing all your children with me. you will never know how much i appreciate being "auntie charlayne" and even "biscuit" to those that know of me. thank you thank you!
i will close for now. take care and know that each and every one of you have a place in my heart even if you think you don't. i can never ever make it without y'all! whatever i have is yours and my home is always open to you if you need it. i love y'all!

Well you are Aunt Biscuit to my boys, Joey is always using that saying"Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit". David thinks you are so cool, cuz you live in Texas...Even wanting to come stay with you for awhile...I know you and my boys would really hit it off.....I know they would have really liked Reece also.....I think they would have gotten into some trouble(hehehehe)....Thank you for thinking of my boys that way.....And I do remember the story about Sea World....One of my favorite Reece stories......luv Ya, Pam

We are like a big family, just like Karen's husband, Jeff asks all the time, I fill him in all the time. For the past couple of days, I have asked Jake to make sure all our kids are in Charleston. I DO remember the Sea World story and laugh whenever I think about it. He was quite the comedian! I had never thought about all the kids we each gained when we lost ours, but it's true. AnnM's Daren is my hero. Leo is my littlest angel. I go four-wheelin' with Jake and he is usually lecturing me about not taking so many chances. I see Evan happy in a little house with a white picket fence and Kala. (Hey, it's MY dream so I can have it whatever way I want!) Michelle is the gentle, loving sound of reason and THE BAND: they are all playing their music, singin' and rockin' when they are not playing ball. And believe me, your biscuit is bein' buttered in Georgia all the time, too!

You all are the family I never had. I'm blessed. Thanks for the stories! They always make me laugh and laughter is so needed. Roger has a large family and they still have family reunions. I love to go, but he doesn't. I need family...never really had much of one. I love all the people talking at once and laughing and eating and playing softball in the backyard or swimming or whatever...just being together. I feel that same excitement everytime I log on to this site and go in search of my family to talk and share and cry and laugh. You feel such a void in my life, an even bigger void left since Jan 2. There are no words to truly express how much I need you Charlayne, you and everyone here.
