hey my sweeties~~

well, i made it thru the day.  thank you all so much for the love, hugs, messages, thoughts and prayers.  you all were something!  i can tell you that!!!

now there is something i have been thinking about for awhile now.  the year has come and gone.  i haven't made any rash decisions in that time.  but i think i have come to a point that i am seriously contemplating a change.  i am ready to walk across Texas or leave Texas.  i need to start over in another city, town or state.  yet, i need to make sure that i can make the money to survive.  it is going to be hard enough to walk away from here but to walk away from a paycheck i know will be there ........ a little much.  and it isn't like i can't pack Reece up with me and go!  Smile

so my friends ....... i need your input.  what do you think i should do?  give it more time?  look around at the possibilities?  i really need some advice here.  and i do trust y'all to give me sound advice.

okay, i need to go to work before the boss comes in and sees me on here ... but hey i am the only one in the office lol don't think he can say too too much!!

I love y'all so very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlayne, They say not to make any important decisions for a year. I guess it's different for everyone but you have made it that far and I think you should follow your heart. Reece will be with you wherever you go. There is an old movie starring Cher called Mermaids. Well, it's not that old. Every now and then when the spirit moves her she gets out a map, closes her eyes, and points. Wherever her finger lands that is where she moves. She starts a life there and calls it home. I always admired that. So dear, my advice is to follow your heart, and Reece will follow it too. Love to you, Pat

Charlayne, Change is good - and also very stressful. If you are feeling the nudge, then I say look at the possibilities. See if they spark your fancy and go for it if it makes sense... I love ya back!! Karen

I agree with tala..you have waited the year now its time to follow your heart..I have changed alot in my house since last summer. changed paint carpets, curtains..Just to change the scenery away from that day..Now we are having a garage built onto the house. I standing in front of our old tiny garage when my husband pulled into the driveway and that is were i had to tell him our son was gone. So off with the old and a new one in its place. The changes are helping me at least. So maybe its Reece telling you should spread your wings who knows. They say to sit down and write a pros and cons list and see which side is longer.maybe it will help.Check your internet and see were your field is needed the most. and check the area for job listings. Trust yourself..sending you positive energy to help with your decision.

When your heart tells you it is time, you know. Look around, follow your heart , see where it leads.Where your heart goes Reece goes, so no problem there. Change is good and scary at the same time, good planning removes most of the scariness.Pray about it, if you're to go it will be confirmed by some one outside yourself. Love and (((Hugs)))

Charlayne,Come to California!! just kidding, life is short do what your heart tells you. BUT remember to moving can be very hard. Where are your parents located? It will be hard to be too far away if they are elderly? Make sure you like the community before you make the big leap. I made a big move about 10 years ago that I regret still. It was a big mistake. I still want to move when Carly graduates from High School. It always seems like such a adventure and challeng. Take Care

do what your heart tells you to do and sometimes a change in your life is for the better maybe you could take leave from your current job and go for a vacation to see if thats what you want sometimes a few weeks away from home makes us feel that home is where the heart is or wow id love to live here.
go for it you have nothing to lose..

I say if this is something you've been thinking of for awhile...then go for it. There's a list of the top 10 places to live......maybe check that out. Charleston is wonderful!! So many people move here after vacationing, or doing temp. work....or retire. I think Raleigh (sp?) NC is supposed to be really nice also. Whatever you do, take your time....visit places that spark and interest....check out job market and housing cost. I think most cities have websites, and newspapers can be subscribed to and sent to your house. I heard some guys at work the other night talking about Colorado.....how beautiful it is, how nice the weather is.....but did'nt they have all that really BAD snow this past winter. We don't have that sort of thing here in Charleston. Can you come a day or two early to Charleston in September? Have a little more time to check it out....you have your own personal guide!! I'll show you all the different areas....Charleston, North Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, James Island, Summerville, Goose Creek, Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island, Folly beach. OH...Danielle Island also. See if you can google them....that may give you a little idea, at least a visual idea!! And the Medical University of SC is here....go there and look at job postings. Lots of different jobs....and I may even be able to help since I have connections! Man...you just about have to have some sort of connections these days to get anywhere!! I also like the idea of just closing your eyes and putting your finger on a map...but that REALLY TAKES SOME GUTS!!! Well.......have fun looking at the different states and gathering info!! And remember...just take your time! It may be another year before you find a place you want take a go at! I admire you for following your hearts desire!

I visited the website for Reece. It's really beautiful! I'd like to do something like that for my stepdaughter Barb.
I think you should follow your heart. You've waited a year and not made any decisions, which I think was a wize move. Of course it may take some more time before deciding where you want to go. I'm not sure where you'd want to move to, but personally I love the southern states even though I live up north in Philadelphia. My husband is from Atlanta and I totally fell in love with Georgia the few times I've been there. I liked North Carolina, too. My uncle (actually hubby's uncle) lives in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Take Care. Let us know what states you're considering!
