I'm 27 years old and have had severe, debilitating pain during and around my periods for about 8 years. I always thought I was just a wuss. I wasn't. I was tentatively diagnosed in July (2007) and had my first lap in August. I have Stage 2 Endo and huge ovarian cyst problems. If I take enough Percocet, I can get through my periods, but my husband and I really want to get pregnant...this is our struggle.
My husband and I have been ttc for about one year. In July (2007) I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and had a huge cyst that had basically taken over my left ovary. After a laparoscopy to drain the cyst and surgically reconstruct it, and burn off the endo, we are starting with Aygestin to give me time to heal. I think I'll probably be using Clomid to try again in January 2008.
I've been overweight as long as I can remember. But I was recently diagnosed with Endometriosis and Ovarian cysts. I'm trying to get pregnant, but I'm on a hormonal ovulation suppressing drug right now, so I have 4 months before we can start trying again. In that time, I'd like to lose 30-40 pounds to hopefully have a healthier pregnancy.
I finally went to see a doctor about my horrible headaches. They hit completely randomly and leave me bedridden in a dark, quiet room for up to 24 hours at a time. He thinks it's Migraines, but because they are always on the same side, he's ordering a CAT scan for next week.
