Please contact me if you want to talk about ONH. I am available by phone and I would definitely like to share my opinion so that others don't have to wait until they're 30 to find better care. It is a disorder, and it comes with a host of other problems. I don't care what the doctors say or are willing to acknowledge in their textbooks -- I know from experience. I have a long journey and I am still coping with this illness, but it has made me realize every day is a gift from God! ;)

My name is Sara. I'm 30 years old. I have ONH and was just recently diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) along with a variety of other health problems. It was only until recently that I started researching and discovered that they might all be connected to the ONH. I have had difficulty working because of these chronic ailments and having to see doctors on a regular basis. I am getting better now that I have found a good antidepressant regimin.

I have Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and lots of other problems, which were NOT diagnosed as being connected to ONH until very recently.
Born with ONH (a visual disorder)... never received care for other systemic problems (which they now know is related to ONH)... just diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, hence the horrible anxiety... have a doctor's appt later this month.
I am having a hard time balancing my illness, work, and financial responsibilities... it's all so overwhelming, especially when treatments make me sick.
Born with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia... later discovered it causes other problems... very sensitive to sound (sometimes painful), which makes me edgy. I get overloaded by stimuli pretty easily (prolly why I like bookstores and nature so much). I am very sensitive. I am trying to learn how to manage my pain.
