I'm single as I was a drunk and never had time to get married. Since I got sober it's been one thing or another but now I just don't feel that well and don't want to be a burden. I'm retired from American Airlines. I enjoy a lot of different movies usually from the video store as it is a little less expensive. I enjoy reading and going out for coffee with my friends. I'm also pretty big on AA meetings, at least 5 per week it kind of keeps me in touch with other sober people. I'm also big on naps usually a 1-3 hour nap daily. I also have Pulmonary Fibrosis, COPD, Neuropathy, Stroke, Heart Attack, Bi-Polar, Essential Tremor, Blind Left Eye, Tinnitus and Border Line Diabetic.
Watching baseball, football and other sports if the 2 previous ones aren't on. Being with my brother and sister when I can. Since the death of my 3 brothers the older and youngest in 2007 and my 2nd youngest brother in 1989, we have become very close. /current/swflash.cab"> > > /current/swflash.cab">

Hi Tom! When I said BIL (I meant bro-in-law)lol! His name is Don and he drives semi for Pepsi products. He goes on long and short runs, he goes to Nebraska for example, and then maybe a shorter one, like to Illinois, but I always worry about the roads when he is gone. Sorry to say, I am feeling worse (in case I am not on tomorrow, you will understand) I know I had a sinus infection, but now it went into my chest,...okay, it IS time to see the Dr--except he is filled up, and I have to see the PA,--I think I just need an antibiotic, but my sis thinks maybe I have pneumonia (say a prayer for me, ok?) I used to have a min. poodle, Princess, and she LOVED snow, used to burrow in it just like your dog and then would come up with inches of snow on her nose, it was just hilarious! You know, I agree with you, a smaller dog would be easier to handle, and they don't need as much exercise as big ones, in case you can't get out! I am excited for you--I do hope you look into it. Hope you stay warm and cozy, and thank you for being my friend! Hugs, Judy
Hi Tom, thanks for the good wishes for my cold,--yes, it is a stinker,...again!!! I think that because I am anemic, it keeps my resistance low. I am glad you got a computer, too, (smile) because I enjoy talking with you. I know I can get a bit wordy at times -lol!--but, if you get tired of it, just let me know! It is snowing like crazy out right now. Toby just went out and he is so cute! He was at gramma's yesterday and she knit him a sweater,---too cute! She spelled his name TOBE--when she realized what she had done, she said she was going to put "OR NOT TOBE" under it. LOL! Anyway, he still isn't used to it, and he LOVES the snow! So, he is just bouncing around like crazy! Such fun to watch! If you get a dog, what kind do you think you would be interested in?? Probably a big Lab or Boxer or other "manly" type of dog? They are such great company, and Toby just loves to play! I made my turkey soup with lots of veggies and will put some noodles in, too! Mmmmm! Smells so good, might have a bowl for lunch! We are expecting 4-6 inches, and I always worry about my BIL because he is a trucker and has to drive in this stuff. He is retirement age, but is working mainly for the insurance for my sister. I hope you are well and staying warm and cozy. Talk to you soon. Tight Hugs, Judy
Hi Tom, Thanksgiving went very well. I cooked the whole meal for the first time in my life. I had some friends over and we just ate, and ate and ate. Loved it! Thank god they were so gracious and cleaned up for me. Too much work in all that prepping, but I must say I really loved every minute of it. I'm glad to hear you spent time with your family. Take good care of you. Noelle.
AWW, Tom, thanks for the flowers! That brightened my day! I was just thinking why your friendship has become so important to me,...it is because you are the only person I know, who has as much going on medically, as I do! (smile) Now, I mean that in a good way! I hesitate to talk about a lot of what I'm going through, because I am sure that not everyone would understand. but you, my friend, have your health issues to deal with, too, and that makes you able to know what it is like! I am glad nothing really showed on your gland, but glad that they are keeping an eye on it, just the same! Did this come about after an infection or something? I don't know when I will hear about yesterday's testing, I figure it will take the Dr a few days for the evaluation, but if I don't hear by the end of week, I will call him on Monday! Glad to hear about your eyes, I use eye drops on a daily basis, but they are just for my allergies (I have tons of them) I also need to get checked for new glasses, I seem to be holding the paper differently at times. lol! Do you have a lot of snow? We've had about 4 in, but 25-30 MPH winds are really drifting it. It was just beautiful, though, clinging to the branches and shrubs! It did make for a slippery drive to Madison though on some of the secondary roads. You don't shovel do you?? I can't imagine that would be good for you. You mentioned about the oxygen, do you have to have it on 24/7? My Mother had oxygen at home and they gave her a machine finally that (produced) oxygen. It was kind of large and unwieldly. Later, when she had to go to a nursing facility (she had lung cancer) there were portable units she could hook up to when she went out (while she was yet able) Anyway, I hope you are having a good day today,...and yes, I AM enjoying the turkey leftovers. One more meal tonight, and then I decided to make turkey soup with lots of veggies,....I have the nastiest cold, again!! The pits, isn't it? Tight hugs, my friend! Judy

Ihave been diagnosed with both PTSD and bi-polar and take topiramate, olanzapine, gabapenen in and clonazepam in addition to talk therapy for the PTSD and bi-polar seperately something seems to be working although due to some illness and deaths in my immediate family I have been severely depressed.
I've been in AA for 21 years and find it to be a fulfilling lifestyle. Due to some other issues I'm very depressed at the moment but as I've learned in AA this to shall pass. I've recently lost 2 brothers and have had some medical problems of my own. I trust in God and all will be better.
I was diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder when I was in treatment for alcohol in Mar 1987. I'm currently severely depressed due to some health issues and the loss of 2 brothers last year in Aug and Oct. Today I was prescribed oxygen so that will be coming in a few days and should help some.
I have been having trouble breathing and had been diagnosed as having COPD and Emphesyma. Yesterday I had a CT Scan that showed alot of scar tissue that the Dr told me today was Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He already has me on oxy and now has ordered an open lung biopsy.
Blindness in the left eye due to scar tissue on the back of the retenae. Unknown cause, suspect cause from firing M-16 in Viet-Nam.
I was a heavy drinker to the point of alcoholism (age 42) when I quit and I was diagnosed with being bi-polar. The docs tried 16ECT treatments to no avail except that I started with hand tremors. Today the tremors are so severe that I need 2 hands to sign my name or write anything also I use a cup with a lid so I don't spill. I also use weighted utensils when I eat. I've also been prescribed a mild tranquilizer that didn't work.I'm 63 now and the tremors seem to be getting worse as I get older.
I was dxed 21 years ago with bp and cycled sometimes a couple times a day to several times weekly. I had 16 ECT treatments that didn't work. Over the years I needed to change meds about every 2 years as the ones I was oon would quit working. The med I'm on now seems to be working ffairly well the rollercoaster is like a soft ride. I do have depression tho'.
I was born during WWII and not cut but when I was 23 and having some problems in the USAF with some unwanted extra growth of skin I had to be cut. I regret today being cut.
I have pain in the ankles knees back and chest.
I had my first stroke when I was 37 a small bleed in the cerebelum. Had the second stroke last year at 62 when my left side went numb and severe headache.. Went to the ER and bloodtest showed I had a stroke. Need to change lifestyle. Lose weight and control cholesterol.
My brother Bill (caretaker) passed away suddenly from a stroke Aug 1, 2007 and my brother John passed away from brain cancer Oct 10, 2007. It has been very difficult for me to get over.I'm now the oldest sibling and oldest in the immediate family. I have 1 brother and 1 sister.
I was sexually abused by my father from the age of 7 to the age of 14.
I'm by myself and haven't had a relationship since my fiance passed away since 1986.
