is feeling Good
I have simple partial and complex partial epilepsy, and my seizure frequency varies but I have a seizure at least once a week. I take 2400 mgs of trileptal a day and feel terrible because of it, blah. I'm interested in VNS therapy, and I'm hoping to learn more about it and possibly have the implant by the end of the year *crossing fingers*.
When I'm home, I like reading, writing (especially blogging, but also poetry and fiction), drawing, singing, *very* occasionall playing the guitar (poor neglected thing), or playing video games. When I'm out I like going to coffee shops, vicarious shopping (I like real shopping too, but usually I'm broke, so I like going out with my friends who have money and helping them pick stuff out for themselves, haha! Woot!), going to fairs and community events such as craft shows, parades, etc. Just fun small-towney stuff like that. *ALL* the time I love to be with my family. They are my greatest treasure, short of God. God is my greatest treasure of all. I don't know where I'd be if I couldn't talk to him. He knows how to help me most, even when no one else can. He's my true support system. =P

I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 17, and it's been up and down since then. I've never had a tonic clonic seizure, but I have had seizures that effect motor function, and I'm fallen during a seizure a couple of times (once I hurt my wrist). Mostly my seizures are harmless (though unpleasant). They often are sensory and involve hearing changes and feeling intense pain. They are triggered by loud sudden noises, or being startled from behind--that sort of thing.
I have one child, a boy named Miles. He's turning 2 in September. He's a real sweetie pie, but feisty too, and so smart! But not much of a talker. He loves music and dancing. He'll dance to any sound that has rhythm--the washer, beeps in the grocery store...)
