About Me
I am 32, live outside of Cleveland OH. Love what I do, I am an occupational therapist for a large (truama 1) hospital. My specialty is traumatic brain injury. I am married (this is the 2nd go!) I have a 4 year old son who is one of my biggest fans. I had GBS on 9/20/07, best decision I have ever made.
Interests
I am a sports girl. Love to play basketball, softball. I watch football because I have to have some knowledge when I work with my patients. I am exctied to have support and be a support for all the folks who are about to have GBS.

My biggest concern is that if I make him pay support he has parental rights. And I just don't want him in and out of the baby's life as he chooses. He's made it clear that he doesn't want this to happen, and I really don't think a child should be brought up by someone so against them. I just want the baby to feel loved and not feel like a burden, which he is making clear is how he feels about it. I know I'm going to be broke, I'll still be a student until I'm seven months along.. but I rather us be a little family, short of money, and full of love then a full family, with money, but broken.

Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
I had GBS on 9/20/07. I was 220 pounds on a 5 foot frame. I was miserable inside. It was almost unbearable to get dressed up to do somewhere. Now, I have lost more than 70 pounds, and have achieved my goal of 140 pounds- by my birthday. I couldnt have done it without my friends on DS!
Treatments
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I have been seeing an "eating disorder" psychologist for the past 4 months, who has helped me understand the background of food addiction. THis is the best treatment I have ever had. I have tired everything!
Close Parenting Preschoolers (3-5)
Hello- I am the mom of a 4 year old son, who is wonderful; however I feel any advice on just about anything would be helpful!
Open Obesity
I have been obese for all my life, I went to my 1st dietition at the age of 12. I am 32 now, and my weight has flucuated between 185 (my best since high school) and 270. I am not new to the topic. However, I have opted for GBS. My roots are in obesity.
Treatments
- 6 Week Body Makeover Not Working
- strange, didnt work

- Elliptical Trainer Working / Worked

- Topamax Not Working

Open Fitness Goals
I am 32, had gastric bypass surgery on 9/20/07. I have about 50 more pounds to lose until goal. I want to tone up, build up my endurance to run a mile without passing out. Small, but large all things considered. I have always dreaded working out, and I need to adjust my attitude.
Treatments
- Elliptical Trainer Working / Worked
- It works great, however I lose motivation fast. Sort of boring.
- Swimming Working / Worked
- 9 years ago, I lost a good amount of weight, and I swam everyday. I loved it! Now, I am in a differnt place in my life where I dont have the ability to do that each day.
Open Healthy Eating
