Well,Miracles do happen here it is July 12th,2008.I never thought it would be possible but I did make it 10 years without a drink.Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have turned 45 years old June18th and I am so thankfull for the past year of my life.Although everyday hasn't been perfect.I know that I have had many more good days than bad days.I had some severe financial problems however they were all straightened out well.God has provided all that I need and most of my wants.Anytime I feel depressed about anything going on in my life all I have to do is think of all the wonderfull blessings I've received and the depression disapears.
Well, My 45th birthday will be Wednesday June 18th and my sobriety birthday will be July12th.It is hard to beleive I will have been sober for 10 years.It feels like just yesterday I can into A.A.feeling hopeless and hating myself for all I have done to myself and others with my drinking.If someone would told me I could stay sober for anything like ten years I would have laughed in there face.I thank God for giving me a whole new life.

A very happy birthday for the 18th and a huge heartfelt hug for doing so well!!! I wish my husband could have even tried :( - it seems giving up on the relationship and looking for another is preferable to trying to give up on booze :( Take care Joe and I hope you're proud of yourself - you really should be!!! xx
