About Me
Hi there! My name is Ashley, I work as a Medical Assistant, I have been in the healthcare industry for 8 yrs and I truly love my job. I have a wonderful son and a great husband. I enjoy writing and love being out on the lake every weekend, Fishing (Bass) and being outdoors. Oh, and I love football. I am from Louisiana so I love LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys. We just got back from Destin, FL recently, it was great!! I love it!! We try to go there every summer, it is so beautiful and relaxing. I didn't want to come back home (lol)
Interests
I am currently looking for a good volunteer service, I want to find something that I can do to give back and know that I am making a difference, I don't think that God puts us here on earth just to live out our lives for ourselves and our friends and family. I think that we should take the time that is so precious and make the most of it. If you have any suggestions or know of something please drop me a message to let me know or just drop a line to say hello. Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia recently, I was told by a family MD he thought I had it a couple of years ago. I was sent to a Rheumatologist a few weeks ago and got a definite dx. I have had alot of pain over the years and almost daily now. I also have a herniated disk in my neck that bothers me alot. Still don't know If I have MS, they diagnosed me with Probable MS a few years ago but nothing showed up on the brain MRI. Just taking it one day at a time and try to stay positive.
Treatments
- Adderall Somewhat Helpful
- I started out with adderall xr but my Dr. switched me to Vyvanse which has really helped with fatigue.
- Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
- I recently started Lyrica and thought it was helping but it didn't give me enough pain relief so they told me to up the dosage and it knocked me out all day, could not function like that.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Tried Ultracet at first and it helped but had to stop taking it, caused me to have headaches and nausea
- Lunesta Working / Worked
- I began taking Lunesta 3 mg before bed about a month ago and it has been the only sleep med. that has worked really fast and helps me sleep like a baby. I really have had no side effects except bad taste in my mouth, I just drink alot of water with it and it goes away.
Close TMJ
I was diagnosed with TMJ a few yrs ago but I never suffered from it until a yr ago, it has almost become chronic, Somedays I have alot of pain.
Open ADHD / ADD
Treatments
- Adderall Working / Worked
- I tried Adderall XR and it worked but my Dr. switched me to Vyvanse because of the side effects and weight loss.
- Focalin Not Working
- I tried this when I was first Dx'ed with ADD and I couldn't function at all, I felt like I was out of it and really tired so I had to stop it.
- Vyvanse Working / Worked
- I have been on this for 2 months now and It has really worked for me, it doesn't have the highs and lows like adderall and others, It works great for me! I take 50 mg in the morning and it seems to last till 7 or 8 in the evening
