One step closer
My, oh my! I have had quite a couple of days. The event on Thursday wasn’t too bad. It was …
151 Days of LDN
I had better sleep last night. I chose to take a hot shower which does help, but I have long hair that takes forever to dry so I usually don't take night showers. I ended up staying up late of course because of my wet hair, but I slept more soundly in the end so it was worth it.
I didn't want to tell April, but I have occassional sharp pains on my left side of my lungs. I didn't mention it only because, sometimes I hate it when people say, "oh, I have that too!", it's almost as if it diminishes your symptoms or something. As well, I don't think mine is as severe, especially since I've been taking LDN. All pleurisy symptoms had dissappeared up until recently I've had a couple of times (and just now) of a sharp pain on my left side, only the front of the chest this time. In the past, it was usually in my sides like stitches. Anyway, here's a link of more info on what RA can do that may cause this if anyone is interested. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/rheumatoid-arthritis/AN00345
My enzymes did not come in the mail yesterday. I was left a message......that their distributor was late on distributing the enzymes and they just got the shipment today.....and package was sent out today. Well that's good, but he didn't mention when it will get to me. I'm still going to ask for a discount on my next purchase when I ever do get ahold of them again.
The left side of my throat won't leave me alone. It's consistently swollen, red and painful and hurts when I swallow up until mid-day. Then it goes away and comes back at night. My Rheumy wanted me to try clariton even though I explained I do not think it's alergies but rather RA related, and she still thought I should try clariton just to see. Well, since it's only on my left side, then again it's not allergies. Plus, that left lower tonsil is swollen and not the right. I say lower because the upper tonsils were removed back when I was 22. I could have the naming wrong here, but you get the picture. I'm hoping when the enzymes do eventually come in, that they fix the problem.....perhaps it's just swelling issues. As it is, there seems to be consistency with the left side of my body. I have a lump on the left foot, more swelling in my left hand and forearm, and my chest pains are on my left side. And then of course, my throat. It's odd since I'm right handed. It makes me wonder what it all means. But keep in mind I injured my left forarm a couple of years ago, and that was the beginning of my RA symptoms.
I should get back to work. I was on time today.
Oh, I also wanted to mention the radio station I listed to today talking about our eco-system. It's a talk radio type thing, and talks a lot on politics. (I'm trying to educate myself and have a long way to go). Anyway, bush is making positive changes I guess towards protecting endangered species. So the host of the show brought it up as a good thing, and was sort of like "finally"!. He likes to bring on other people who might challenge him or at least give the listeners two sides of the story so they can think for themselves. No brainwashing..... Anyway, so this guy comes on, and we'll call him "religious dude" and basically says that God wants us to use animals. And the radio host says, that's not the point, the point is that we are reliant, our survival is reliant on this entire eco system. You kill one thing and it's like a chain of events. I'm really putting this all in a nutshell. It got me so riled up because religious dude just wasn't listening, it was all god this, god that, rather than focusing on biology and the survival of the planet and us as humans. I just don't get it! I hate that the radio host has this guy come on the show on a regular basis! He has some good points sometimes, but this time he just sounded like a complete Moron.
Oh, and have you noticed there's more flies this year? It makes me worry that this balance we have on earth will be out of wack sometime in the near future and we'll be infested by things that kill us off. It's all the same theory as the "leaky gut theory". Because our systems are swarming with micro-organisms, we are dependent on that good bacteria, etc. to keep the bad bacteria from taking over. There are many people who believe it all comes down to that.....and because our earth is changing we are getting more auto immune diseases as a result of processed foods, chemicals, etc.
I hope everyone else is having a calm and blissful morning. I wish you a pain free day!
My, oh my! I have had quite a couple of days. The event on Thursday wasn’t too bad. It was …
We didn't mention it. I left on Thursday.
143 Days of LDN I went ahead and spent $144 on an enzyme supplement called Neprinol just now. I had heard …
Sarah, while I was having a lovely weekend qat the beach, you were suffering, I am so sorry honey. Take salt and coat the bottom of a glass. Fill it a little way with warm tap water and mix, gargle. It tastes like shit, but if this is a sore4 throat or allergy related it will help. If it is RA related it won't. It will make you gag, but gargle as much as you can several times. It is amazing how well this stupid rememdy works! Sounds as though these left side issues are all related. It is funny, I am a righty, yet my left hand was more severe than my right, very interesting huh? I am not sure I am sold on this new rhuemy of yours. She sounds wet behind the ears and not terribly openminded. I am sure you will keep close watch on her. Don't be intimidated by her, speak up and make yourself heard...it is your body! Keep me informed on how you feel. love, marcia

I forget sometimes that since you're aren't telling me how you feel always that there's a lot of pain and frustration that you're going through. I wish I understood what RA was like more, like if I could take it away from you or trade it or something. I know I'm not the easiest person to sleep next to, being that I'm twice your size and when I flip over the entire room shakes. Plus, I snore, talk in my sleep sometimes, and uhm... fart all night long. That's pleasant! I wish there was something more I could do. I am very proud of you and how you've handled RA, especially since you've become somewhat of a expert on the subject. I appreciate you letting me read your journals, I know they're private, and I'm incredibly happy that there are so many wonderful people on this site that you can communicate with and get some sort of feeling of "Yeah, I know what you mean," from the them.
I'll make every effort that I can to make your days and nights as pleasant as possible.
Love you.
This is actually a message from Sarah's husband, Caleb.
Thanks again, from me, to all of her friends here and I wish you all the best.

Well, bless you all. That's nice your hubby chimed in. Where would we be without significant other support.

That was very sweet! I am a member of the "the Earth is changing and that is why " group. I honestly think we have messed things up and it is now coming back to us. I would have believed you if you said you had chest pains. Everyone here has so much pain, I believe everyone- it would be hard to make this up! I know what you mean though. I have people who are healthy tell me about joint pain (young people) and it irritates me. I (here I go) have noticed that pain in my throat is very common when I am having joint pain. It is odd. Is your chest pain usually just to the side of your breast bone, right in front?. That is where mine was. Hope you feel better soon, and let me know about the enzymes! April
