My mom had flesh eating disease recently and had a large portion of her inner thigh removed by surgery. It was an emergency situation...nobody knew right away what was wrong with her. Started as a blister and then we thought she had the flu..

- had two surgeries...worked well but now she has ptsd
Open MRSA
My mom caught mrsa in the hospital after getting flesh eating disease. 5 different patients on the surgical floor she was on had it first...it passed from room to room and the hospital denied it even though we could see it happening. When I questioned them, they said it wasn't them that maybe it was my son from daycare that gave it to my mom...what a crock! They were just dirty. i check under my mom's bed and they had left bloody bandaging down there...they hardly cleaned at all.
Treatments
- Clindamycin Working / Worked
- It worked but took a while...my mom was so upset at being isolated after everything that had happened...she woke up from a nap and her door had been shut and there was a warning...she called me from the hospital saying she thought she was dying...they didn't even tell her. The medicine worked but took a couple weeks
