Mornin! The explotion of arghhhhhh is directed at DS. I think I'm over it now. There's something about putting things in caps that spits out fire!!! I needed that.
I had the worst night on here last night. I needed to get on to talk to someone who I promised I would talk to at a certain time. All of a sudden I can't log on. OK! Tick tock, Tick Tock, I try everything, shut off computer, etc. No good. Tick tock, tick tock.....I have an anxiety disorder....so I ask for a new password from DS......they send one forty minutes later.....tick tock, I have missed my promised committment now and there isn't a blasted thing I can do about it. FINALLY I am able to access DS with my new password, which I will never memorize cuz it's crazy and then...and then.....the site goes DOWN! Yes, the site goes down! The anxiety goes UP! Yippee!!! I'm not done......soooooooo I contact the person I promised to contact....fine, then I leave a few messages on friends journals. Next I'm informed by one of my friends that my message has disappeared. OK> NO PROBLEM!! I also had problems witih other little thingys all day yesterday. I really wanted to bite somebody!!! But alas, it's all over now and this is a new day! It's gotta be better than yesterday. I shall comfort myself with that thought!!
I feel better now. I'm not a computer lover to begin with. When I was working, and I'm sure you can all relate, everything was done by computer. We scanned patient files (Dr.s office, I worked in) into the computer. God forbid, the computers were down, we were just plain paralyzed. Could do nothing. Dr.s couldn't even write notes, because they do it directly into the computer now. Paper and paper files are going out of style.....everything is computerized. This is great in theory, but when medicine and surgeries and things of real importance to the running of a company are on a computer, with or without backup, and it goes down....so does everything else! Call me old fashioned....I won't bank online or do anything else, like shop online because I simply don't trust it. And I don't want my personal credit card info on the internet. I'll just write a check thank you. Drag me into the 21st century..ok. I have a cell phone...that's as far as I'm goin!!!! lol
Rainy and miserable here in Jersey today. Bobby will do the banking and some food shopping. I will be out for a car ride along with him probably. This weather just brings us all down. C'mon Spring.......come on out!!! Sunshine, flowers, birdies, bee stings......well, whatever...

I'm with you! If the computer doesn't do what it is supposed to do or it's not consistent. I go wacky! I don't understand why it does things! Lately our Tivo has reminded me of that movie "Space Odessey 2001", where the computer takes over and won't listen to the humans. Freaks me out!! Sorry, with hugs!

Some spring sunshine coming right over to you Darla, grab it quickly as we have snow forecast on Sunday! LOL. DS seems to hit us in turn, remember a few weeks ago I had that problem too? I know it happened to Vonny too recently. One thing I have learned about sites like this is: As good as we think they are, there is always someone either hacking in or trying to bring the site down just for the hell of it. The invisible enemy.
Deep breaths and have a reasonably relaxing day. I am sorry you did not get online to help your buddy but I am sure they will know you well enough to realise it was not intentional.

How frustrating when your computer won't work for you...gggrrr! I can relate to that. 2 days ago I came home just after lunch feeling like I needed to talk to someone here on DS. I started my computer and couldn't get on the internet...gggrr!!
I called Telus who I get my internet through and I stayed on the phone with them for over an hour and they couldn't figure it out sooooooo they told me to take it to a repair person....aaaahhh!! I unhooked everythign and took it to the shop to get fixed, I didn't know yet how I was going to deal with this depression without you guys on DS?
That night I picked the bus people up for church and they told me the internet was down all across the island where I live...gggrr!
So next morning I went to get my computer from shop, thank God they didn't charge me anything, but now I was sent home with directions to hook up the thousands of wires and I am not electrically compatable..I did it though and my internet came back on.
But.....because I was already having a hard couple of days when this happened and being without DS for a whole day!!! I spiraled again to the deep dark depths, my brain just couldn't take anymore, the computer was the last straw.
So my dear, I can relate to what you went through, very emotionally frusting to say the least! Hope you don't encounter this problem again. oxoxxoox

It's ok to rely on computers at work I guess but there's GOT to be a backup, where's the backup?? Since I don't work I get all my frustration from my home computer, but your night was a doozy.....NOT good! Sorry you had to go thru that, glad you got it all out in your journal!! Way to go!!
I hope you had a nice ride with Bobby in spite of the rain.........the rain will hopefully bring the flowers and hopefully the sunshine too! Birdies, but no bees!

Yay! Somebody else that doesn't like computers taking over the world! I also just got my first and only cell phone...and that was a Christmas present from my hubby! I'm sorry that you are having such a hard time with accessing DS. Never can tell what's wrong with it!
